Xactimate Estimating FAQs
How much does an outsourced Xactimate estimate cost?
Most estimates are priced as a flat rate based on the type of loss and the size of the claim, so the price doesn't climb as a percentage of the estimate. Use the fee calculator on our pricing page for a number, and ask us about monthly rates for high volume.
How fast will I get my estimate?
Standard turnaround is 48 hours from the time we have everything we need, and most jobs arrive sooner. Rush delivery within 24 hours is available for an added fee.
What do I need to send you?
Photos of every affected area, your notes, and room measurements, a field sketch or a Matterport or iGUIDE link. For mitigation, include moisture maps and drying logs. If something's missing, we'll ask before we start rather than guess.
What files will I receive?
A native Xactimate .ESX file you can open, adjust and upload, plus a PDF of the estimate with the sketch. Download them from your client portal as soon as they're ready.
Will the estimate have your name on it?
No. Everything we deliver is white-label. The estimate goes to the carrier under your company name, and your client relationship stays yours.
Which price list do you use?
The current Xactimate price list for the loss location, unless you or the carrier specify a different one, such as the price list for the date of loss.
Are revisions included?
Every estimate includes a desk revision. If the adjuster asks for changes, send them through the portal and we'll update the file.
Do you talk to the adjuster or carrier for me?
No. We write the estimate and any supplements along with the supporting notes. You, or your public adjuster, stay in control of the claim conversation.
Why outsource Xactimate estimates instead of hiring?
An in-house estimator is a fixed salary whether you have two jobs this month or twenty. Outsourcing turns estimating into a per-job cost that scales with storm season and keeps your project managers in the field.
How do I send you a job?
Through your client portal. Choose the service, fill in the job details and upload your files. You'll get an email confirmation right away, and status updates as the job moves along.
Ready to hand off your next estimate?
Get a portal login, upload the job and have a carrier-ready ESX back in 24–48 hours.
