Sketch & Takeoffs

Matterport to Xactimate Sketch Conversion

Sketching is the slowest part of writing an estimate. Send us the scan link or a photo of your field sketch and we'll return an Xactimate sketch with rooms, openings and ceiling heights in place, ready for you or us to scope.

What to send us

  • Matterport or iGUIDE share link
  • Or a hand sketch with dimensions
  • Or a floor plan (PDF or image)

Missing something? Send what you have. We'll tell you what else we need before we start.

What the estimate covers

  • Rooms & walls

Every room drawn to scale with wall lengths and ceiling heights.

  • Openings

Doors, windows and missing walls placed so quantities calculate correctly.

  • Levels

Multi-level structures with stairs, basements and attics.

  • Exterior

Roof and elevation sketches available as add-ons.

How it works

  1. 01

    Get your portal login

Tell us about your company and the work you need. We set up your client portal the same day, with no software to install.

  2. 02

    Upload the job

Pick a service, add the property address and notes, then upload photos, drying logs and field sketches or paste a Matterport link.

  3. 03

    We write the scope

An estimator sketches the structure in Xactimate, applies the price list for the loss ZIP code and scopes every trade. A senior estimator then reviews it.

  4. 04

    Download ESX + PDF

You get an email when it's ready. Download the native .ESX file and PDF from the portal, then review and send it to the carrier under your own brand.

Can you also write the estimate on top of the sketch?

Yes. Order the sketch on its own, or pick any estimate service and the sketch is included.

What files do I get back?

A native Xactimate .ESX file you can open, adjust and upload to the carrier, plus a PDF of the estimate with the sketch and photo references. Both are unbranded so they go out under your company name.

Ready to hand off your next estimate?

Get a portal login, upload the job and have a carrier-ready ESX back in 24–48 hours.
